The Huli people are known for their ritualistic rhythm and movement. At a young age, children partake in ceremony and ritual. This youth and his younger sibling have just completed one of the many rounds of drumming and dancing.
The Huli, who paint themselves with yellow ochre, and swathe their chests with pig fat mixed with red earth, dance extensively and without pause for huge lengths of time. There is an intensity about this child which is very compelling and gives rise to the power of ritual and inner faith.
