The Massai warriors once dominated the plains of East Africa. With spear in hand, they wander the wide-open plains, moving their herds from one area to another, so that the grass has a chance to grow again.
The Maasai worship one god who dwells in all things and believing that they were entrusted with cattle, their wealth is measured by the number of animals they possess. Although they have no chiefs, each community has a Laibon, or spiritual leader.
Warriors spend most of their time on journeying throughout Maasai lands, beyond the confines of boundaries.
