LISA KRISTINE

HUMANITARIAN PHOTOGRAPHER AND FINE ARTIST

Shape-shifting is a person or being that can physically transform one’s form through an inherently magical ability at will. It can be used for good or evil and for simple or profound reasons. Shapeshifting can be found in the oldest forms of totemism and shamanism, as well as ancient literature and even poetry.

Master practitioners of shapeshifting have embodied the body of an eagle or owl to hunt prey such as fox or wolves. Shape shifting can happen either by the object changed or by an external force and can be used for good or for ill and for reasons simple or profound.

Throughout time, shapeshifting has been a fascinating phenomenon found in spiritual practices of many religions and philosophies including Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism.
