Supporting Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden’s World Childhood Foundation was an honor this month. Proceedings commenced at the United Nations, where we partook in crucial conversations and tactics to address issues related to child sexual misconduct, exploitation, and brutality.
The statistics shared during the event are alarming and emphasize the urgent need for action. One out of every five girls and one out of every ten boys endure sexual abuse. The sex trafficking of children is rising drastically. Child marriage consists of some 12 million girls who are married before they are 18 – It’s crucial that we continue to raise awareness and prioritize children.
The day concluded with a Gala fundraiser supporting the significant vision of the World Childhood Foundation and hosted by HM Queen Silvia and HRH Princess Madeleine. For more than two decades, the World Childhood Foundation USA, driven by the visionary leadership of HM Queen Silvia of Sweden, has been on an unwavering mission. The organization aims to ignite inspiration, foster change, and forge innovative solutions in the relentless battle against child sexual abuse, exploitation, and violence.
