The Huli people are known for their ritualistic rhythm and movement. Children partake in ceremony and ritual at a young age. This youth and his younger sibling have just completed one of the many rounds of drumming and dancing. There is an intensity about him that is very compelling and indicates the power of ritual and inner faith. The Huli paint themselves with yellow ochre and swathe their chests with pig fat mixed with red earth and dance extensively and without pause for huge lengths of time.
