Dating back to the 1700s, Hoi An is a cluster of wooden merchant dwellings and decorative temples and assembly halls, all of which are a blend of styles from China, Europe and Japan. Through the tiny streets bird cages line the outside walls of the golden structures. Traditional women wear an elegant style of dress  is called Ao Dai, essentially meaning long clothing and is representative of the deep history and culture of Vietnam.
