The Inntha – people of Inlay Lake – are a very pious people. The monks walk each morning to collect alms, home to home. There are many monasteries that dot the great body of water. Some villages have two, or even three monasteries in their small community. Each hand crafted monastery is adorned with exquisitely carved ancient Buddha images depicting a historical lineage.
